POW Theatre
The P.O.W. Theatre is a 9 minute hologram that recounts the tragic story of the Cowra Breakout in 1944. The Theatre is a small tin hut that is a replica of the Nissan huts found at the Cowra Prisoner of War Camp during World War II.
The hologram presents the story of a young local woman who tells the story of the Breakout while interacting with original artefacts from the Camp. The presentation is aimed at raising awareness of the historical significance of Cowra in modern military history and in encouraging visitation to other local attractions and locations of historical importance.
The story is inspirational and the display simply amazing. A must see for any visitor. See what Bill Bryson, the American travel writer had to say about it.
Shirley Spectra created our amazing hologram back in 1998. For further information regarding the creaters of the hologram, please visit www.shirleyspectra.com.
