Wyangala Waters State Park
Wyangala Waters State Park is the perfect location for that weekend away, and a magical place to relax and unwind for the whole family.
Wyangala is located a short drive from Cowra at the junction of the Lachlan and Abercrombie Rivers.
The Lake is a clean, clear vast expanse of water. When at full capacity the surface area of the dam is 2 1/2 times the size of Sydney Harbour! For current dam capacity, please visit the NSW Government's Individual Storage Reports for the Lachlan River.
The surrounding area offers excellent accommodation and camping facilities. There are bungalows, cottages, cabins and even a couple of houseboats. There are also plenty of powered and unpowered grassy campsites and caravan sites and even a back waters camping area for the more adventurous.
The kiosk and service station can provide food, fuel, bait, ice and EFTPoS facilities, and the nearby Wyangala Country Club ensures visitors have everything they need, right at their fingertips.
The Lake is a great body of water for all your water sport activities and at the Park there are water-slides, walking trails and sandy beaches.
Day visitors are also welcome, as the park offers excellent picnic and BBQ facilities.
Fishermen can expect to catch Trout, Silver Perch, Yellow Belly, Cat Fish, Murray Cod and more.
Wyangala Waters State Park offers something for every member of the family, all year round. Make sure you come and see us and
remember if you are planning to stay give us a call to avoid disappointment.
Dogs are welcome but need to be on a lead at all times.
