Morongla
Morongla is located 15 kilometres south of Cowra on the Lachlan Valley Way. Morongla is the home to a very active show society, who are
responsible for the annual Morongla Show. This is an event not to be missed and is generally held on the Monday of the October long weekend (4 October 2010). The show is steeped in tradition and still features many of the exhibits and displays that are customary of country agricultural shows.
Morongla is also the home of the action packed sheep dog trials in August. This yeras event will take place between the 18th - 21st. For more details of the event click here
The word Morongla reportedly translates to crayfish in the local Wiradjuri language.
