Mayfield Garden located between Oberon & Bathurst, is one of the world's largest privately owned cool climate gardens and is OPEN DAILY from 9am-4:30pm. Mayfield Garden including the Private Garden extends across more than 160 acres and sits within a 5,000 acre working farm.
Mayfield Garden is a spectacular 36-acre stone and water feature garden and includes follies such as a blue-stone bridge, red bridge, numerous boardwalks, a copper tree fountain, a Grotto, obelisk pond and allée of London Plane trees. Mass plantings of Rhododendrons and Hydrangeas mingle with delicate water lilies and tall Birch trees to delight visitors.
Adding to the experience is the Nursery with its extensive range of cool climate plants and Mayfield branded gifts, & the Café & Produce Store serving a garden & paddock to plate menu from Mayfield Garden and local suppliers.
The Private Garden opens during seasonal festival periods, with numerous follies and features are blended into the landscape: the breath-taking 80-metre cascade, the walled kitchen garden, the Aviary, the Chapel, rose garden and Islamic style pond and much, much more.
